Practical or impractical jokes

Last year one of the students did something to the keyboard so that it would type only gibberish, or nothing. I had to figure out how to fix it. Today I am sitting in my room and the teacher’s aide from down the hall comes in and says she needs my help. A student from the night before had done something to the monitor so that the image was sideways. I had to go and figure out how to repair the settings. To speed the process a student held the monitor sideways. It took me a bit to find the right settings but I did. Ah, yes the things I learn on this job.

It doesn’t help to know the head of the teacher’s union. He goes to church with me and last night at Wednesday activities he asked if I would serve on the building committee for consultation about moving into the new building. Actually I would be a good person to serve since I have lots of reservations and concerns about the move. I might be able to come up with problems that no one else has thought of. My main concerns are accessibility and availability of food and transportation.
